¡Û Asia’s top stars: Korea’s “Hyun-joong Kim”, “Tiger JK & t Yoonmirae”, “Mblaq”, “Teen Top” “Sistar”, “ZE:A”, “Ailee” and “B1A4”, Japan’s “Aqua Timez”, China’s “Weichen”, Singapore’s “Fann Wong”, Taiwan’s “Yoga Lin”, Thailand’s “Candy Mafia” and special casting of “Brave Guys”
 
 
The 2012 Asia Song Festival in its the ninth year this year as the top popular music festival of Asia was held on a special stage of Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea on August 4. Fourteen teams representing six Asian countries participated and the event was jointly moderated by ZE:A’s “Junyoung Moon” and entertainer Soojin Park.
 
The performance started with B1A4’s “Baby Good Night” and Thailand’s first girl group Candy Mafia’s traditional dance, “Blink Blink” and “Honey Honey,” moving the hearts of men. This was followed by Taiwan’s top singer Yoga Lin’s “Runway Mama” and “Fairy Tale,” to which spectators sang and danced together.
 
In addition, Ailee’s outstanding performance of “Crazy in Love” and “Heaven” with an amazing voice and sexy dance and Singapore’s national star Fann Wong’s beautiful melody filled the beautiful night sea of Yeosu. .
 
The first session was about to end with the passionate cheering of spectators at the performance of Tiger JK & t Yoonmirae when Brave Guys appeared to surprise everyone who acclaimed in a big applause. Brave Guys passionately sang “Spring, Summer, Summer, Summer” and “Wait and Prepare” to conclude the first session.
 
During the second session, China’s Weichen danced powerfully to China’s drama song “Boys over Flowers,” widely known for having been sung together with Mblaq’s Joon Lee and Cheondung, “Daybreak” and “Party like a Rock Star.” Japan’s Aqua Timez, which has many mania fans in Korea for having sung the OST of Japan’s popular drama “Gokusen 3,” held a brilliant performance of “Toushindai No Love Song” and “Rainbow”.
 
MC Soojin Park communicated in Chinese and Japanese as well for foreign spectators and Junyoung Moon showed the agility of leading the spectators every now and then to shout in acclaim.
 
ZE:A’s following performance of “Aftereffect” and “Heart for 2” drew the attention of MC Junyoung Moon and spectators. ZE:A regretted one of its members Junyoung Moon, presiding over the event as MC, was not able to join them. In addition, male fans acclaimed at Sistar’s sexy performance of “Loving U” and “Alone.” Teen Top’s splendid group dance to their new song “Be ma girl” “To You” and “Crazy” was followed by Mblaq’s “It’s war” and “Oh yeah,” to which fans acclaimed and danced.
 
To finish off the event, Korean Wave star Hyun Joong Kim performed. His fancy dance to the songs “Do You Like That?” and “Lucky Guy” further heated the festival to conclude the event.
 
At the award ceremony held after the performance, ten teams received awards. B1A4 and Ailee received the New Asian Artist Award; Candy Mafia, the Rising Asian Star Award; Brave Guys, the New Trend Award; Hyun Joong Kim, Tiger JK & t Yoonmirae, Mblaq, Teen Top, Sistar, ZE:A, Yoga Lin, Weichen, Fann Wong, and Aqua Timez, the Best Asian Artists Awards.
 
Director General Gyeong-hui Kim of the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange said, “The 2012 Asia Song Festival was held together with the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea making it all the more meaningful. Next year, we plan to hold a more lavish festival in commemoration of its 10th anniversary.” The festival has steadily grown each year and firmly settled as Asia’s best popular music festival wherein Asian countries communicate in harmony through music.
 
The 2012 Asia Song Festival is expected to be broadcast in about forty countries worldwide, including Korea’s KBS, Japan’s Fuji TV, and Hong Kong’s TVB.
